The Homologation & Product Compliance department is a strong and reliable partner for product development at MAN. We are responsible as interface to the authorities and for the design of regulations. By advising the engineering departments and by ensuring a 4-eyes principle for homologation and product compliance-specific approvals, we guarantee the product conformity of our vehicle types to the SOP on a worldwide base. Our employees have a high level of technical and process-related understanding, are convincing, reliable and responsible for setting guidelines and specifications for sustainable MAN development.


We offer you a challenging job in the topic of environmental compatibility of our products. As part of the Environment & CO2 team, you are responsible for carbon foodprint analyses and regulations for components, contact person for other departments inside and outside of the development and for setting up the processes (IT and organizational) for the implementation of legal and non-legal requirements.


Your task

  • You work towards the development of more environmentally friendly vehicles
  • You create carbon footprint analyses for essential components, especially Batteries
  • You are responsible to implement processes (IT and organizational) for the MAN development for cabon footprint regulations/ declaration of sold products as well as non-legally binding declarations/ processes
  • You align concepts/ IT-tools/ processes and methods with other VW or TRATON brands
  • You will take care of a variety of tasks in the product-related environmental area
  • You will cooperate with other areas within MAN and the TRATON group

Your qualifications

  • You have completed a university degree in engineering, natural sciences, computer science, environmental sciences or similar
  • You have either a strong background in environmental aspects or regulation aspects or process aspects or IT systems
  • You have experience in implementing new processes an IT systems in a complex environment
  • You have experience of managing multiple stakeholders within interdisciplinary teams
  • You are characterized by a holistic view of environmental aspects and effects
  • You demonstrate a high level of communication and presentation skills
  • You have high German and English language skills, both spoken and written
  • Of advantage: background in implementation/ design of IT systems (system owner)
  • Of advantage: experience in the automotive sectors, technical understanding especially of batteries
  • Of advantage: background in environmental sciences / LCA and carbon footprint methodology
