As "Software Engineer for Android Automotive OS (AAOS)" you will develop and integrate basic software components and thus strengthen our team, which is organized according to agile methods. The team is responsible for the platform basic software and middleware, which is used in the strategically important MAN core control units. Your area of responsibility also includes the improvement and further development of processes, methods and tools within BSW development and capability for application developers to integrate their functions efficiently. You will have close contact and interfaces with the teams and departments of Functional Architecture, Functional Development, HW Development, SW Integration and the different test teams.

 

Your Tasks

 

  • You design and implement basic software components and integrate them into the software architecture of control units, sometimes in cooperation with external suppliers or even by integration of open source code
  • You create developer and regression tests for the components in your responsibility and carry them out before integration/merge
  • You document the developed basic software components in the MAN development database and release the components for the following unit test
  • You are the contact person for ISSUES (new requirements or errors) for the function architects, function developers, HW developers, integration and for the different test teams
  • Together with the team members, you will work on the continuous development of processes, methods and tools to increase quality, efficiency and job satisfaction
  • Our actual challenge is the development and industrialization of a SDV Stack together in close collaboration with our Partnership and inside the europaea intiative

 

Your Qualifications

 

  • Professional experience in the field of high performance control unit development or in the adpative autosar stack
  • Expert knowledge in the development with Adaptive Autosar Applications
  • Expert knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Microcontroller architecture (e.g. multi-core), high-performance computing platforms, Service-oriented architectures, other operating systems in the automotive environment (e.g. QNX, AAOS Ubuntu, Yocto), basic software components, driver development
  • Expert knowledge in C/C++
  • Knowledge in Systems Engineering is an advantage
  • Knowledge in automotive diagnostic (SOVD, DoIP, UDS) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of dealing with bus systems and networks such as Ethernet and CAN is an advantage
  • Knowledge of working with the ISO 26262 standard for functional safety and the corresponding development processes (V model) is an advantage
  • Experience in build continuous integration (Docker, Gitlab, Conan, cmake etc.) is an advantage
  • Further programming skills are an advantage (model-based development with Matlab-Simulink, Target-Link, Python, Rust, etc.)
  • Reliable and precise working method
  • Openness to new challenges
  • Language skills: German and English
