Digital Production Lab


We are a young and dynamic team that explores new digital technologies and hence drives innovations in thefield of advanced data analytics for our corporate Production & Logistics network. Together with othercorporate functions we establish an eco-system to extract and process data across the company. Furthermore,we shape and build up the organization and capabilities that facilitate the realization of the mission to createvalue from data for Production & Logistics, this comprises not only data-governance, architecture, data-engineering or data-science. We are therefore eager to explore, learn and adapt. Moreover, we accelerate ourlearning curve by joining forces with other brands within the Traton Group and VW.
Another portion of our work is the exploration and realization of decisive Data & Analytics UseCases with ourinternational team in Lisbon and Pune.
You will play a critical role with high involvement in strategic work, the chance to grasp a holistic view andpossibilities to contribute and shape the future in data analytics in addition to tangible UseCase work. Job Description: 

You will play a critical role with high involvement in strategic work, the chance to grasp a holistic view and possibilities to contribute and shape the future in data analytics in addition to tangible UseCase work. Moreover, you will be part of a group wide data community to spread and a share experience and competence with other functions. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven business projects, innovation and enable data-driven decision-making processes throughout the production organization. In this context you will be responsible for designing, developing (and maintaining) robust and scalable software solutions to meet the needs of our internal production stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications, develop code together with our international team in Lisbon and Pune, and ensure the integrity and reliability of our software products through thorough testing and debugging. 

 

Your assignment

 

  • System Design: Collaborate with our internal stakeholders and our international team (Lisbon, Pune) to understand project requirements and translate them into scalable and robust software system designs.

  • Data Infrastructure Design: Develop and implement robust data infrastructure frameworks tailored to the unique requirements of shopfloor operations and AWS cloud in collaboration with our international team and business objectives.

  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Apply advanced analytics techniques, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling, to derive actionable insights and drive process optimization.

  • Data Acquisition: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, gather, and integrate relevant data sources from various shopfloor systems and sensors.

  • Documentation: Document software designs, architecture decisions, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainability. Create user manuals, API documentation, and technical guides as needed.

 

Your qualifications

 

  • Studies in computer science with focus on data science, software development & architecture (or comparable)

  • Several years of working experience in software development and / or data science

  • Skills in python and relevant frameworks, experience with AWS suite

  • Experience and expertise in data management (data engineering, cleansing, processing, governance, …)

  • Ability to quickly understand complex business-processes and abstract those
