Your tasks

Join us in driving the transformation of the commercial vehicle industry into the digital world. As a trainee, you will gain deep insights into various areas of the MAN Truck & Bus company and the TRATON Group in this 15-months program. We are a large group of companies that is active on all continents. That means a lot of interfaces you'll be working with. With your ideas, you will advance our truck program of the future. Together with your mentor, you will design your trainee program individually to fully develop your potential. Your home area: “Data & AI” in the innovation team at MAN Global Business Services (GBS)

MAN Global Business Services (GBS) is part of MAN Truck & Bus SE and is responsible for bundling, standardizing, and optimizing enterprise‑wide end‑to‑end business processes. With a global network of Delivery Centers, GBS provides high‑quality support services in Finance, Human Resources, Sales Support, and Procurement.

Within the Innovation team at MAN GBS, we identify AI and automation potential and translate it into tangible business value. This includes exploring and validating high‑impact use cases and supporting the GBS teams in successfully bringing these solutions into real‑world application.

For you, this means: working directly on real AI use cases, gaining insights into a broad range of business processes, and contributing to the digital transformation of a global industrial company from day one.

Your qualifications

• Excellently completed studies (Master's/Diploma) in the Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or comparable
• Ideally, you have a (study) focus on Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Digital Business
• You have a wide range of practical experience through industrial internships or working student activities, preferably in data analytics, AI, digitalization projects, process optimization, or consulting

• Basic understanding of statistics and machine learning concepts, or demonstrated experience applying ML models in a specific domain (e.g., Finance) is beneficial
• You are familiar with using Python-based data science tools such as pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, scikit‑learn, and exposure to PyTorch is considered a plus

• You have strengthened your intercultural competence through at least 3 months of experience abroad.
• You are characterized by your independent, creative and committed way of working.
• As a team player, you have a high level of motivation and willingness to learn for personal development in an international working environment.
• You are enthusiastic about innovations and future trends in the commercial vehicle industry as well as the application of new technologies (e.g., AI, automation)
• Fluent language skills in German and English round off your profile.
