Your Responsibilities
- As a Project Purchaser, you will contribute to MAN’s future-oriented projects in the fields of electromobility, autonomous driving, and high-efficiency diesel technologies, which form the core pillars of our project landscape
- You will support projects from the early concept phase through to Start of Production (SOP)
- You will be responsible for a range of components, driving them to completion in cross-functional teams with a focus on cost, timing, and quality
- Your key interfaces will include Engineering, Sales, Finance, Quality, Logistics, and Production
- The component scope primarily covers body-in-white and chassis components
- In your daily work, you will actively support the development and evaluation of concepts and negotiate changes to components and tools with suppliers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure optimal material costs at SOP
- You will independently prepare decision proposals for project and corporate committees within your area of component responsibility and represent them in decision-making bodies
- Regular business trips to partners within the Volkswagen Group and to suppliers will support you in achieving your goals
Your Qualifications
- You hold a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering with additional business qualifications, or a comparable qualification
- You are highly motivated and enjoy shaping the future
- You have practical experience working in interdisciplinary teams
- You bring experience in (agile) project management or project work
- Ideally, you have experience in a technical field
- You have business-fluent German and English skills
- Your strengths include understanding technical contexts, strong motivation, cost awareness, and adherence to deadlines
- You possess quick comprehension, assertiveness, a structured approach, and a high degree of self-responsibility in your work
- Flexible working hours with trust-based working hours
- Up to 80% working remotely as well as 20 days/year working from abroad in the EU
- 30 leave days + 6-8 additional free days due to conversion option
