As a Software Developer for AI & Software‑Defined Vehicles, you will shape next‑generation intelligent vehicle software. You will design and implement AI‑driven functions, contribute to modern SDV architectures, and bring advanced machine‑learning capabilities into embedded and cloud environments. You collaborate closely with system architects, data scientists, and cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable automotive software.


Your tasks

 

  • Develop software components for AI‑based vehicle functions & platform functions (e.g. TRATON One OS)

  • Design and implement modules for Software‑Defined Vehicle architectures (central compute, zonal architecture, service‑oriented systems)

  • Integrate machine‑learning models into embedded, edge, and cloud environments

  • Build APIs, microservices, and data pipelines for vehicle‑to‑cloud communication

  • Collaborate with system architects, functional developers, and platform teams

  • Ensure software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Optimize performance, memory usage, and latency in real‑time systems

  • Contribute to safety and cybersecurity concepts for AI‑enabled vehicle software

  • Create technical documentation and align with internal stakeholders

 

Your qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development (AI, embedded, cloud, or automotive)

  • Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or Rust

  • Hands‑on experience with AI/ML frameworks

  • Solid understanding of Software‑Defined Vehicle architectures

  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, DevOps workflows

  • Knowledge of real‑time systems, distributed architectures, and communication protocols

  • Experience with Edge AI, model compression, quantization, or inference optimization

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Excellent English communication skills

  • Experience with test automation, simulation, or Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop environments is an advantage

  • Familiarity with functional safety (ISO 26262) or cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434) is preferred

  • Understanding of automotive networks (CAN, Ethernet, FlexRay) is a plus
