We are looking for a skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our Autonomous Driving team. In this role, you will focus on developing intelligent driving functions and managing large-scale data pipelines in a cloud environment. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of safe and intelligent mobility solutions.
Your tasks
- Design and implement machine learning models for perception, prediction, and decision-making in autonomous driving systems
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for training and evaluating ML models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, data scientists, and system architects
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across distributed systems
- Analyze large-scale sensor and vehicle data to improve model performance and system behavior
Your qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles and cloud-based data processing tools
- Familiarity with autonomous driving technologies and sensor data (e.g., LiDAR, radar, camera)
- Experience working with distributed systems and large-scale datasets
- Practical knowledge of MLOps, data versioning tools, and cloud-native architectures (including infrastructure-as-code)
- Understanding of safety and validation requirements in automotive applications
- Fluent in German (C2) and English (B2 or higher)
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Strong sense of responsibility, structured working style, and excellent communication skills
- Confident, proactive, and comfortable working in intercultural teams
- Flexible working hours with trust-based working hours
- Up to 80% working remotely as well as 20 days/year working from abroad in the EU
- 30 leave days + 6-8 additional free days due to conversion option
