We are looking for a skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our Autonomous Driving team. In this role, you will focus on developing intelligent driving functions and managing large-scale data pipelines in a cloud environment. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of safe and intelligent mobility solutions. 

 

Your tasks

  • Design and implement machine learning models for perception, prediction, and decision-making in autonomous driving systems
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for training and evaluating ML models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, data scientists, and system architects
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across distributed systems
  • Analyze large-scale sensor and vehicle data to improve model performance and system behavior

 

Your qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Solid understanding of data engineering principles and cloud-based data processing tools
  • Familiarity with autonomous driving technologies and sensor data (e.g., LiDAR, radar, camera)
  • Experience working with distributed systems and large-scale datasets
  • Practical knowledge of MLOps, data versioning tools, and cloud-native architectures (including infrastructure-as-code)
  • Understanding of safety and validation requirements in automotive applications
  • Fluent in German (C2) and English (B2 or higher)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Strong sense of responsibility, structured working style, and excellent communication skills
  • Confident, proactive, and comfortable working in intercultural teams
