  • Enjoy understanding complex technical systems and finding practical solutions
  • Have the motivation to try things out, learn quickly, and turn ideas into something that works
  • Have ideally worked with AI development tools such as Kiro, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools
  • Automotive systems and vehicle software knowledge would be benefitial

What matters to us

We are not looking for the perfect CV. We are looking for people who build.

Maybe you developed software for a university project. Maybe you built your own AI agent, automated an engineering task, worked on a vehicle or robotics project, used AI to support mechanical or software engineering, or simply experimented with a new technology because you wanted to understand how it works.

Show us what you have built. Tell us what problem you wanted to solve and what you learned along the way.

At TRATON R&D, you can bring this mindset into real-world automotive engineering and explore how AI and software can help shape the future of commercial vehicles.

We offer

  • Entry in one of the largest automotive groups (Volkswagen Group)
  • 18.00 € gross/hour for up to 20 hours/week
